For Sale By Owner

If you're more interested in selling your home on your own, we can help you with that. Now, we always recommend getting the assistance of a trained professional when selling a property. There is a lot at stake, but we understand that some folks prefer to go at it alone. Here are a few tips to get you moving in the right direction:

Declutter

Start by putting anything away that looks messy. This includes papers, books, family photos, and toys. Less is better in this case.

Clean the Place

Give the entire home a good scrub down so that it looks fresh and inviting. Hire a service to get that real professional clean

Mow the Lawn

This includes getting that garden nice and straight. Curb Appeal has the power to invite someone in, but it can also have the power to send filks running.

Take Great Pictures

Most shoppers see your home on the internet before they ever see it in person. Great photos will bring them in! Hire a service or call in a friend who moonlights to help.

Get a Nice Sign

A metal sign from Home Depot will work in a pinch, but to get the attention of all of your neighbors and people driving by, a post like this one will do nicely.

Answer the Phone

Once you list your property, you will be getting calls from agents, brokers, or even directly from buyers. Be prepared to answer and make the home available to sho as often as possible.
